Long Island is located in Casco Bay in the State of Maine. Long Island is a 45 minute ferry ride from Portland, Maine. The Town of Long Island provides education for K-5 students at the Long Island School located on the island.   6-12 students must travel to Portland where the town provides their education at either private schools or a school in the Portland system.
